I’ll mirror another comment on this post. I think it’s most important just to be a good person.
I find it confusing that men think it’s their responsibility to make women happy. Clearly as a woman I don’t get the same messages from society as a man, but I firmly believe that each person’s happiness is up to the individual and not up to any other person.
In a relationship, we each have the responsibility of being good caring partners and that includes the ability to give someone else the space to temporarily be dissatisfied.
From someone who’s lived under the barrage of society’s messages of what it means to be a woman: be a kind person, be yourself, treat people the way you would like to be treated, and release the outcome.
